Larry – you really just saw my lists and got scared…. 
Tom Nudd said he won't be able to make it Friday either. Maybe you can get a game in next week with him? Sounds like there will be 4 of us Friday – me, Charlie, Brian and AJ.
I'll get up there as early as possible – may not be until about 5:30.

I had a great time and it was really good to meet all of you. I'm looking forward to trying to get up to 1000 points in two more weeks. Lucky for me the StuGs help. The big hurdle is painting up another platoon of infantry!

In two weeks we'll continue with 1,000 points. I hope everyon had fun. Tom can get his Russians on the table next Friday if he'd like. Unfortunately I can't make it this coming Friday.
I am putting together Kampfgruppe Graebner from the Bridge Too Far Book. It's light recon, but should be fun too play.
I also have army builder and they already have the late war lists for the Italians. They are allied forces and can take British Armor squadrons as allies. Maybe I'll bring 1,000 points of Bersaglieri.

I had fun. I learned some lessons in how not to assault!
Started assembling my German Panzergrenadiers over the weekend. Got one infantry platoon put together and the Heavy Machine Gun Platoon put together. Not sure yet if I want to switch to Germans for the escallation or stick with the British…

I'm seeing a lot of army lists on the FoG forums for 1600 and 1750 points. It seems 1750 is a common tournament size. Should we add a 1750 step in between 1500 and 2000?

Are we doing 1000 points this Friday? I'm working on my 2nd infantry platoon, but not sure if I'll make it in time. I wouldn't hate doing 600 points again. I'd like to try a different variant of my list. If everyone else has their 1000 points done I could probably pull an 'all nighter' and get mine done.

I may have a problem making it to the shop Friday night. I definately am not ready with 1000 points of germans, althought I could use my British. I have one infantry platoon and two tanks painted for the Germans.

Well if I don't get my 2nd platoon of Finns painted, I'll be bringing either German or Russian armor. I'm going to try to finish up the painting tonight, and hopefully can do the basing tomorrow night.

OK, I did the math, and I have enough painted German armor to field 1000 points in a legal configuration….if I can't finish my 2nd Finnish platoon in time.
It won't be anything spectacular: 2 Panthers (CiC & 2iC) and two platoons of 3 Panzer IVs each. Not sure how much of a game 8 tanks will be so I'm going to paint Finns like a fiend tonight.

I can go either way. I am picking up a second platoon of US Airborne but they are from Matt and I think they are based but not sure if they are painted. I prefer to only play at least minimally painted and based models but since we are sort of growing into this I'm pretty flexible. I can always borrow a platoon from Charlie which will give me 1k.
I Also don't have an problem with playing another 600 pt round.

It's 11:30 pm. I just finished painting up my 2nd platoon of Finnish infantry. If I'm lucky I can get them based tomorrow. I'll come either way, prepared to play 1000 points with my finished Finns, 600 points with my un-finished Finns, or 1000 points with German armor. See you Friday.

I got my 2nd platoon of Finns based this morning before I headed off to work. Tonight I'm going to paint the ground, dry-brush it (twice) and add the foliage. Looks like I'm going to make it just in time. I'll try to be to the shop by 5:00, maybe a little sooner if I can.

P.S. Hopefully Charlie will have my order of Pak-40s and 105s. If not I'm going to have to make my 1250 point force without those two important additions.

Good games tonight. Looks like we're having more people show up than we have table space! I'm not sure what we're going to do when the armies get bigger.
I'm still not understanding how to make my Finnish infantry deal with heavy armor. I thought I would do better tonight with the full platoon of Stugs, heavy mortars and my panzerfaust tank hunters, but with open tables the MGs just mowed me down in droves. Next session I guess I'll try adding some Pak-40s and air power.
